Tech Dek 3
Tech Dek 3 completes the series of self-defense technique kards for Ed Parker’s American Kenpo system, including techniques such as Falcons of Force, Courting the Tiger, Dominating Circles, and Hopping Crane.
At first glance the Kenpo Kards look like simple trading cards. But each kard is precisely and painstakingly designed to hold as much information as possible in the smallest space. Every kard is a study guide to one self-defense technique, and the kards also work together to form a “web of knowledge” of the American Kenpo system.
On every kard
- Front: an original illustration of the technique and its name, so you recognize it at a glance.
- Back, left side: a summary of the technique’s most important groupings, basics, concepts, theories, principles, and relationships, for study and class discussion.
- Back, right side: symbols for the attack, zone, direction, and position, for quickly sorting the kards and building workouts.
The kards don’t describe how to execute each technique. That’s deliberate: they are designed to reinforce your instructor’s teaching, not to replace it.
Who it’s for
Students who want a quick reference for their techniques and a better understanding of them, and instructors who want a hands-on tool for class. The Official Guide to the Kenpo Kards explains every symbol and offers ways to use the kards in your training.
